MotoGP 2011 Jerez Free Practice 2 Results and Review

April 1st after the surprise FP1 result, in the afternoon at 14.10 Local time  Free Practice 2 was held at the Jerez circuit. Like we know  Valentino Rossi grab a great position in Big Three with all problem he have. like he said before the day practice start, this season its be very difficult to him because he need to know the bike more and his condition not fit 100% from his surgery after Valencia test in 2010. But he always trying to do some improve and make the difficult be more easier and fun for him and all team.

With 31 degree and windy condition  on the track, make many riders bit slower with they bike because difficult to control bike at the corner with the strong of breeze. Like Karel Abraham had a little  incident in FP2, he wrong way to the gravel and crashed on the Corner 6, but the rider okay, might be he push hard speed with his Desmo because he get the feel after jump to the 9th position  in the midle time on FP2 and finished with 10th. But really happy to seen it, so he have a new spirit to running well like before in Moto2.

The Fastest not change from the FP1 result still Repsol Honda Team but this time Dani Pedrosa show to all fans that Jerez his home town so he can so swing at each lap and corner  with memorized and easily. That really helps with the speed of a bicycle owned. His team mate Casey Stoner behind him only 0.188 second . The worst result in Repsol Honda team from Andrea Dovizioso he must take a result in 12th position. He lost a feeling with the front of bike but he cheer up his spirit again and said "... but it's useless to complain, we have to continue working. I hope tomorrow there will be less wind so that we can focus on the set up of my RC212V"

The Yamaha Team rider Jorge Lorenzo after lost his big three position in FP 1, doing some improve and take the position back and the gap with the top is not to far, so they now only continue to do some setting again for Sunday Race. But his team mate the handsome Ben Spies not very happy with the result, he can't feeling the M1 very well like before but its only Friday, he have a time to setting again his M1 on Saturday and Sunday.

The Top three review  already done, so to see the whole, better we see the results of the 2nd Free practice :
  1. 26 Dani Pedrosa  – Repsol Honda Team – 1.40.101
  2. 27 Casey Stoner  – Repsol Honda Team – 1.40.289

  4. 58 Marco Simoncelli  – San Carlo Honda Gresini – 1.40.701
  5. 46 Valentino Rossi  – Ducati Team – 1.40.956
  6. 14 Randy de Puniet  – Pramac Racing Team – 1.40.982
  7. 11 Ben Spies  – Yamaha Factory Racing – 1.41.053
  8. 69 Nicky Hayden  – Ducati Team – 1.41.058
  9. 7  Hiroshi Aoyama  – San Carlo Honda Gresini – 1.41.292
  10. 17 Karel Abraham  – Cardion AB Motoracing – 1.41.304
  11. 5  Colin Edwards  – Monster Yamaha Tech 3 – 1.41.337
  12. 4  Andrea Dovizioso  – Repsol Honda Team – 1.41.407
  13. 8  Hector Barbera  – Mapfre Aspar Team – 1.41.665
  14. 65 Loris Capirossi  – Pramac Racing Team – 1.41.810
  15. 35 Cal Crutchlow  – Monster Yamaha Tech 3 – 1.41.854
  16. 21 John Hopkins  – Rizla Suzuki MotoGP – 1.42.305
  17. 24 Toni Elias  – LCR Honda – 1.42.690
The Italian Rider Marco Simoncelli with San Carlo Honda Team, strong enough on 4th position, and Hiroshi Aoyama happy with progress he get with the new set up on 9th in FP2.

Colin Edward trying some experiment with his bike, he created some setting on his bike, actually it was faster  but he's didn't feel it will run consistent during the race so he back again used the last setting. He only  in 11th position with his a lot experience he said "What made it really difficult today was the wind. It was really gusting hard in some places, so you just had to be pretty careful because it wa s easy to get caught out. You just had to pay attention and get a feel for which way the wind was blowing because at least it was consistent in one direction."
And one rider again from Yamaha Tech 3 team is Cal Crutchlow is the first time he ride on  Jerez circuit and with the windy condition of course like other riders he can push hard but he have a competitive time with other so he will try again in Saturday befofe the big day on Sunday April 3rd.

Hector Barbera finish on 13th, its not run like he hoped, but he still optimistic because the Practice session is only to know what tyres to used and get better idea for the race. and he will try a new swingarm and play around with the geometry of the Ducati to try and get more grip on FP 3. So lets we see what he get latter.

And the famous rider Nicky Hayden from Ducati motor get improve with get 8th position, but the result is not what he want. The time not significant improve but its still improve, and he said "...There's a few places I'm lacking, but we're trying to just make small gains and not make too many big changes."
Look like he still searching to find the best setting for his bike and for sure the time will come like he wrote on his twitter account @NickyHayden69  : "Hope my GP11 is a smoother ride this wke then that flight was or they might pull my lic make me start wearing a novice yellow shirt again" and I replied with this words "The first thing you must believe. and u and your Desmo will be one synergy and you will get what you want"

The Doctor Valentino Rossi with his Ducati look So perfect doing for a second of  second progress with various issues that he has. He can improve his time and strong in 5th position in FP2. And the noted is he grab that position before Ducati Desmo do the "Radical and Visible" change after Estoril race, they have big plan to change the chassis and the big one again on the engine.

Wuhuuu!!!.... can u imagine what will happen with Desmsedici. Valentino Rossi already start to used electronic on his bike but still in accordance with his racing style. Like he said with Autosport "We made improvements in some systems - we started to work with the electronics, I gave some advice on what I like from the bike when I open the throttle, we've improved it a lot. But the hardware of the bike is exactly the same. And also this track is better for me, I like it more than Qatar."

He never forgot to say the words that reflect the pride of the Desmo before he get in "We could improve the Ducati or adapt it more to me. I say improve it,". How Humble this guy.

And when we saw the combination time for Practice Valentino Rossi get 3rd position and the gap with Honda only 0.526" so the Podium at Jerez is the realistic to obtain. but we must still remember about his shoulder the pain might not be too disturbing but the strenght not enough so its make he  losing less power lap by lap

But we all have confidence, with spirit and determination that he have he will achieve the best that can he accomplished.
