Goodbye MotoGP 2017 and welcome MotoGP 2018

So 2017 has passed. It was a year of excitement, a year of surprises. A year, where the best of the best showed that they can push the limits even further. Marc Marquez crashed 27 times until he won the title. As he said 27 and a half times. His safe in a race he did not have to win, but wanted to win almost lost him the title fight, but will be remembered for years. After lot of suffering on the first season he just try and try again and again until he can get the comfort back to his bike. So many good story he passed until he comeback strong to his bike.
Dovi did a great job, we all hoped he will make it and be the first Ducati world champion after 9 years, but finally just won the world championship of the hearts. But he showed, that if you work hard, even after years of trying you can suddenly be among the extraterrestrials. The key from him is believe and never give up.
Maverick Vinales looked like the new world beater after the first two races, but finally he got into the same trouble as Valentino, It got so far, that they struggled even against privateers and changed back to the 2016 bike without being as fast as Johann Zarco and Jonas Folger were with them. Zarco  made an incredible job, setting us all on fire and we can only hope he will continue like this also with the 2017 Yamaha. Even though some of movement he made on the track too aggressive but we can't blame him much, because this is race everybody want in the front as far as he can.
Dani Pedrosa showed at races, where it was hot, that he can be unreachable, if just the conditions are right. That he looks more and more like Henry Cavill (Superman) is a bonus. That he is getting more and more active in social media is another one. He really please all his fans with so many photo his update on his social media, and we happy with that for sure.
Valentino proved at Assen that he can still win, and he showed even more at Le Mans and Phillip Island, that he is still willing to do everything to win, even when it gets real tough. That's why we love him, that why he never alone in all races, all fans always following wherever he is. Every race of MotoGP for Valentino Rossi is always be home race because all the circuit always full with yellow. The incredible memory from 2017 is when he missing Misano GP due his injury and then he came back from his leg injury after 3 weeks, will make him immortal forever.
And Danilo Petrucci, who gave him a hard time at Assen is the funniest guy, the paddock had since Carlos Lavado.

But now the season is over, it is time to tun the page and go on for 2018. Valentino, Maverick and Yamaha are trying to forget that year and learn from the past. They take the 2016 bike and try to make a 2018 winner out of it. Jack Miller and Tito Rabat are learning the Ducati quick, Scott Redding learns how to fold 6 feet over a tiny Aprilia. Franco Morbidelli is desperate to prove he is a worthy Moto2 world champion stepping up to MotoGP, and Takaaki Nakagami is keen to prove there is another Japanese rider who can be among the very best. And Pol Espargaro can even smile and joke after 300 Jerez laps on the KTM. Great, boys, that's why we love you all!

Now it is time for you to enjoy your well deserved holidays. Valentino by winning his 6th Monza Rally and setting a new all time record. He would also have made a great rally driver in WRC. Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa had fun at the Honda Racing Thanks Day and Marquez showed greater skills with the drum sticks than the Japanese professionals. And he taught us there is life beside the tarmac on a Honda Super Cub. Thanks for that, Marc.  And Dovi showed once again his moto cross skills in a charity event.

Now we look forward, what Johann Zarco can do at the Superprestigio, hope that Jonas Folger will get well soon and impress like he did at Sachsenring. And really hope MotoGP 2018 will be the same excite as MotoGP 2017 or even more. And last but not least I really hope Valentino Rossi can make his 10, not only for him but also for this sport and for all his fans around the world.

Marc Marquez and Shaina

After the Interview Shaina did with Cal Crutchlow on the last October, she get exclusive chance to met up  with Cal Crutclow (Story in other article)  at the recent Sepang Test on February 2016.This little girl having lot of people around paddock who knowing her after the great interview with Cal Crutchlow that was published by Crash.net, Speedweek and one of biggest newspaper in German Motorsport Aktuell.

During the meeting with Cal Crutclow, she also had a chance to meet with Marc Márquez and Dani Pedrosa. Marc Márquez realized that she was the one who did the interview recently with Cal Cruthclow. With very humble way Marc Márquez said to this Indonesian little girl that the interview was very good and she should also make an interview for him sometime. And we were there only laughing because we just think it was only a polite way of Marc to make the 10^th years old little girl happy.

But we never know because even articles develop their very own dynamics. And on this case it showed soon, that this was not only an empty phrase of Marc Márquez for this little girl. A nice coincidence happened, the Repsol Honda MotoGP factory teams launch their 2016 bikes in Indonesia with Honda Indonesia at the Sentul International Circuit, mean it is the Shaina’s home country.

Shaina already there waiting her fortune on the very big event of Repsol Honda MotoGP factory team and, It was a busy and rainy day, but lucky for Shaina, because she got access to the team´s restricted area. After Marc Márquez and Dani Pedrosa came, they both warmly welcomed her with nice hug and humble short conversation. But as they still had a lot of obligations, they asked her to wait. So she waited in front of Marc Márquez ´ room. 

Long minutes and hours passed, the program was almost over and the big luxury coach was already waiting at the end of the paddock with the engine running for bringing two Honda riders and team to the airport. Then suddenly Marc Márquez asked Shaina to come in to his private room with very lovable way. We could see very clearly he was already exhausted from all the day’s work and the hot weather combine with rain and high humidity, but he was cool and gave his tight time for making the words to Shaina come true.

So she sat down, face to face with Marc Márquez and automatically like provisional she took her tablet and started asking.   

Shaina Salvia A.S.:

My first question is: A lot of factory bikes are using wings on their fairings. Do you think the RC213V for 2016 also needs wings or is the wing from the Honda logo already enough? (Laughing)

Marc Márquez: (looking at Shaina and laughing) Yeah…, Honda is working on this because Ducati started with the wings already long time ago, a lot of year ago... and now as Ducati started, also Yamaha tried and also Honda is working on their wings in the wind tunnel to try their wings. I don’t know we will put or not. Depend on the result, maybe it will make a little gap but I don’t think it will make a big gap.

Shaina Salvia A.S.:

The next question: For 2016, what is the improvement on the 2016 bike, to make you fast again on the track?

Marc Márquez:

We change a little bit the specific on the engine for trying to improve the character of the bike and we are working there. And also we will try some different setup on the electronic, because now it’s common software for everybody to have the same software, the same electronic and we are trying to adjust this electronic.

Shaina Salvia A.S.:

Aaa ok, (and looking to her tablet) I have a little question again, what is actually your favorite circuit?

Marc Márquez:

My Favorite circuit is… One of my favorite circuits is Phillip Island. It is really nice. And then Aragon, I also like it a lot. Austin, I like it. So fast corners, I always like it.

Shaina Salvia A.S.:

Do you like in Indonesia?

Marc Márquez:

(Laughing) Indonesia …., I did few lap here in Sentul International Circuit with the small bike and it looks an interesting circuit, many change direction and someday maybe we will ride with the MotoGP.

Shaina Salvia A.S.:

(With her hoping face) Ya, I hope also. (And Shaina face look around), so you like playing PS4? (Curious voice)

Marc Márquez  :

Yes sometimes in my free time, We are playing FIFA for football game, some MotoGP, motor bike game, Formula 1 game, always on Play station.

Shaina Salvia A.S.:

(Very relax voice) same as my brother and me…

Marc Márquez:

Same heh? (Laughing loudly) You are good?

Shaina Salvia A.S.:

Hmmm. Not really (honest face but little disappointed) but …

Marc Márquez:

(Continuing Shaina word) but your brother beat you … you will beat your brother, because you are really smart (with his finger to his head).

(Both of them are laughing very friendly)

Shaina Salvia A.S.:

Thank you (with very happy but little shy face), Thank you for the time.

Marc Márquez:

You´re welcome (Hugging and surprisingly he kiss Shaina) muach …

And not to stop there, Shaina tried to remember and said:

“And Happy Birthday …..” (Shaina stops, because suddenly Marc Márquez is answering) “Thank you”. (With very happy face and Shaina continues)  “I know it is not your birthday yet because it is….” (Stops again) and Marc continuing “… yes Wednesday, It is on Wednesday”

Shaina Salvia A.S.:

Yeah ..So you will go to Phillip Island?

Marc Márquez:

Yes we are going now at 8 in the night we have the flight for the test.

Shaina Salvia A.S.:

 I’m sorry I can’t go there, I would like to go but I should go to school.

Marc Márquez:

No worry and of course school is important. (With serious voice to Shaina)

Shaina Salvia A.S.:

Thank you very much

Then Marc Márquez took his things and left the room, as the team was already waiting outside. They went down the long corridor, then suddenly Marc turned around, ran back to Shaina and gave her a pillow with his photo on it. And also Marc give one more chance for Shaina took a photo together with him.

Shaina was very happy about the present and keeps it among her beloved souvenirs. She actually had a few more questions on her tablet, but as she knew Marc Márquez had very little time, she was too anxious to ask them. She was so grateful with the big opportunity that she experienced.

She really hope this story can be publish on Marc Márquez birthday, as a present on his 22 years old at Feb 17^th.. So here we go “HAPPY BIRTHDAY Marc Márquez “

Brilliant Decision from Valentino Rossi on MotoGP Jerez 2014

After a very brave movement by Valentino Rossi in Argentina even though it didn’t bring any podium for him, but finished at 4^th place there with very stable speed was very promising for the other races left. As we know, after Qatar and 2 American circuits, the 4^th season of MotoGP was hosted at Jerez – Spain and it’s the first MotoGP 2014 in Europe and as we know lot of great battle happened in this circuit, since Doohan – Alex Criville (1996), Valentino Rossi and Sete Gibernau (2005) and the last year was Jorge Lorenzo and wonder boy Marc Marquez (2013).

On this year, almost all prediction  on Marc Marquez due the huge reason of how strong he can took 4 pole and also he’s already won 3 series in 2014, so all prediction jump to him and quite more interesting as we know Jerez 2014 will be his 100 times on Grand Prix, and not forget about passed memory in Jerez when he had hot battle with Jorge so all spectators and media thinking that it will be happened again between them, and as we know in the same date with Jerez race is Jorge birthday and also 200 times for Jorge in Grand Prix. So very possible if both of them will do with all they have to win in here. But after race came in very good weather of Jerez, that prediction didn’t happen at all, Marc Marquez who got good start on pole and continue running fast and make huge gap to others, while Jorge Lorenzo struggling on 3^rd place and laps by laps make his tire didn’t have enough grip and forced him to accept overtake from Dani Pedrosa on lap 21 who finally can finished on 3^rd and for The birthday boy need to happy with his 4^th place on Jerez race.

So after we know the 1^st podium own by young riders with No. 93 Marc Marquez and 3^rd place by flamboyant rider Dani Pedrosa while for 4^th spot for Birthday boy Jorge Lorenzo, so the question is who got the precious 2^nd podium for Jerez 2014 and the answer is the one and only Valentino Rossi. 

After struggling with tyre problem in Austin which made him to be only finish at 8^th and after deep breaking from other rider on Argentina who made him wide ride and need to  go back home on 4^th place, finally here on Jerez in the track he loves so much, he got it, and another great achievements for the 9 times world champion is because after QP with very brave he announced to use new chassis, which he think it can be better when he try to wear Extra hard front tire for race, while we all know already the old chassis can’t receive good for the extra hard tyre. And finally all the risk decision he took can save him to get his 2^nd spot in Jerez after the last one in 2010 he got podium here, and he also so proud with this achievements and make him on fire to face the race remain on 2014 to make him stronger on world standing. At this moment he stands on 3^rd spot for World Standing MotoGP2014.

We need to say it again and again I though….. Valentino Rossi is Valentino Rossi, with his own style and good calculation he can be so brave to take decision which maybe other can’t brave enough to try. It teach to us one more think .....

“Life is about how you brave enough to take any risk from any decision you made for it, life is about 2 sides of coin, when you go with all the risk and success come after and you are blessed, when you can’t reach what you want on it, for me its not a failure but it’s a tremendous lesson of life. Better you going with some risk rather than you only stay on your place without any improvement. Valentino Rossi Lost Great Podium Chance on Austin MotoGP 2014

We already know who the one at the podium on the 2nd Round of MotoGP is for 2^nd time. Marc Marquez ^st podium, and his team mate Dani Pedrosa also strong enough to get the 2^nd place even he admit that he can’t do anything to Marc Marquez, he’s too fast and too strong (honesty is some good part that makes this sport is so interesting). To complete the podium we can see Andrea Dovizioso with Ducati Team on that place. He did very well in every corner and consistent enough, little bit surprising to saw him there as we know how the bike performance is but I think when the team decided to be Factory 2 make them can more have wide space to develop and improve the bike and the strong ride of Dovizioso made Stefan Bradl, Bradley Smith, Pol Espargaro and Iannone need to be happy at the 4^th, 5^th, 6^th and 7^th position.

Some of us maybe feel very sad and wonder how come Valentino Rossi was so far and finished on the 8^th place behind the satellite team and open class team, as we knew  that during almost all practices since Friday worked very well for this 9^th times World Champion with his baby M1, and also when WUP happened in the morning before the race was going, we also can saw how comfortable he is with the bike, even he also talked about the tire condition yesterday, but in overall he’s so optimist about this 2^nd round of MotoGP 2014.

When all riders already on the grid and the race was almost started, everybody shocked by the jumping start from Lorenzo, as we know sometimes this thing happened but for this time Jorge really too early to gas his bike, even Bradley Smith  said he had not even engaged 1^st gear (twitter @Birtymotogp), but Jorge Lorenzo received the penalty and made the race almost over for him, but then he’s trying to wake up from the mistake and didn’t do wrong things again, just like the one on Qatar where he didn’t get any point on that race, so he’s trying to improve his position and finally finished on the 10^th place and got his 1^st point for the first time on 2014 season. It’s really hard to understand about this but it could be happen for any Riders. It’s Human Error.

The start of the race almost disturbed by Jorge Lorenzo’s incident and make riders concentration a bit bias, as Valentino Rossi had at the moment, so it make him a little bit on the wrong place to start but he’s trying to improve his position lap by lap and he almost reached the 3^rd place but too bad on laps 7, he lost the grip on the right side of front tire, and this tire problem made the bike 3 second slower and finally  destroyed all the ^nd podium of this season in Austin. This entire tire problem also happened to British rider Scott Redding, Iannone and some other riders. Valentino Rossi always talked detail if he found problems on the race, he’s thinking that he might need harder tire but as a matter of fact, Yamaha always have problems with hard tire so he’s always so humble to not only blame in one side, he realize that in the test he already know that there are some problem with the bike, so he and his engineering team will work and solve it out, so what’s the next move (with easy and smile he was saying) “Going to Argentina and have a nice weekend, I will use this week to analyze the data."

Hohoho only Valentino Rossi can be such positive as that and he add “Now I’m the 3^rd on The World Champion Standing and we still have so many race in front to collect some  points, otherwise today was good because Romano got the 2^nd podium, the team is working hard.” Good father will able to born good children. No doubt, we love him as we never imagine!”
